Hi Veikoh,

Agreed that there are companies out there spending far too much money hoping that technology will solve their business problems. A good business already has a business plan, marketing strategy, and knows what they are up against. In no way do I mean that a website is a magic bullet.

Nonetheless, a company should have a website. It’s a basic piece of marketing material. As it is part of operations, it must be carefully analyzed along with other startup investments. Good points about e-commerce and blogging – these are 2 key ways to succeed!

Those companies are absolutely right!!! Why should they have website? There are too many useless websites in the Internet. If they have online business, they should have an e-commerce site. If they are international consultants, they should have constantly updated blog. Otherwise it’s just charity to support useless web designers, SEO specialist, etc. There is an article in my blog about this topic: Website Design, Business Cards, SEO and Stupidity.
